We love this simple recipe - the kids can help chop vegetables and, with adorable aprons and some light supervision, can handle the messy tasks of squeezing the canned tomatoes and stirring the pot.
We prefer to some other marinara recipes that are more onion-forward because, let's face it, my kids don't want to chop onions.
Be sure to let the pot simmer for a while with a healthy dose of salt. If it's done right, this sauce is sweet and mouth-wateringly delicious.
